Dream Parcel

I told my mom how to play Zelda songs on the control by reciting the buttons. I managed to turn my birth control pills into semi-liquid format and shove it in a glass jar. Looked at the mirror and noticed that my hair was changing colors. My hair was later put up in a ponytail (slightly to the side) with a hat on. Somehow a creature appeared in the living room under a bed. I accidentally hit it with my foot and it started attacking me. Orbital's song "Planet of the Shapes" started playing and I put the cat in the bedroom and shut the door. It managed to open the door and we became friends.

In my mind's eye, I saw DJ land inside a skyscraper so he could ambush me. I yelled "DIMENSION FLIP" and well, flipped into another dimension. I was now walking uphill on a mountain. There were many trees. I was with an unknown man. The cat was still with me. We found some curtains among the trees and opened them. I started to get a sinking feeling. There was a pink bed with a man's feet sticking out. I clutched the cat closer because I felt like something bad was about to happen. I turned away, heard the man lift the covers off the man in the bed and heard the first man scream "IT'S JUST A PILE OF ORGANS" - and then I woke up.

-My family was moving and we moved into a house in a city in a desert. Our new house was made of white stone and was two stories with this interesting beige trimming. It was nice inside too, simple but clean and modern. I went to see our new neighbors and I had to walk over a fair stretch of sand to get to them. The sun was bright...

Probably had this dream because I was reading a lot about the Duat which is the afterlife in my belief system. It's a collection of cities in an eternal desert. : >

-I was standing atop a skyscraper with my family. The entire horizon was swallowed up with a supermassive black hole that was approaching Earth. The world was about to end and the sun had been extinguished, leaving only the light of the stars. The black hole created a strange lavender-lilac aura in the sky. As I looked, silhouettes of giant predatory animals flitted through the few wisps of clouds that were left. There was a lion, tiger - and then I saw the Earth begin to tear apart. The last thing I saw on Earth was myself from 3rd person POV disintegrate along with the Earth, leaving nothing but the stars. Then I was in a boat with my mom, gliding into a bright light which I assume was the gateway to the afterlife.

I want to draw the part with me disintegrating. Was realistic and morbid, but would make a cool b/w art piece imo!

-I was dreaming about Cinderella but she looked like a real person. She was in her castle and her prince was killed and a snake came out of his mouth. Cinderella let herself get bit by the snake and began to transform back into a cartoon character, but the way it was happening was one part of her body would bloat up real big and then go back to cartoon form. She began shrinking and her animal helpers (the mice and shit) began to become cartoons again too, along with the surroundings. And then they ended up by a mouse hole and Cinderella was the same size as the mice helpers. There was a purple cat sitting in the mouse hole and it kept shrinking and said “guess I have to disappear” and Cinderella became distraught looking for the cat, but it shrunk so much it went away and the more mice helpers came outta the mouse hole and for some reason the Japanese icon Totoro…

For some reason, watching the cat shrink into the mouse hole felt like infinity. Random things seem to feel like infinity to me, like the Clannad soundtrack.

-My mom was acting like everything was The Sims (she likes the game too irl) and she was acting like a robot. She started yelling at me and Eriq and then said she was "told to by the owner of the game" (ie they chose the option to make a sim yell at another sim). So, to get my mom to act normal and react normally, Eriq and I started throwing food everywhere. Mom said "you'll have to clean the curtains" like that was the only response she could give. Also, we were living in a fancier townhouse and Lia started crying. Then Eriq and I flew outta the townhouse and there was another layer of townhouses above ours, so we flew to that but inside was dark and creepy and I had the feeling it was like a horror movie. I saw some kids but I thought they were ghosts and then one hallway morphed into a creepy hospital and then walking down the staircase was a man but I felt like if he turned around, he'd have a melting face. Then I was fighting some ghosts with a jewelry thief and then we were in a jewelry store and I started to wake up, thought I heard my mom say "I'm trying to sleep" even though she wouldn't be in my room for any reason then fully woke up.

-I was watching an anime movie and heard someone behind me say "they'll face a level 19 scary-factor monster" and then a green, tentacled monster appeared on screen...

-I was talking to the man who owned DC (I don't think he was really the owner of DC irl). I wanted to register my version of Action Comics No#1 with him (the first appearance of Superman). In the dream, it was issue #5 though but this was correct? I could hear my voice echoing on the phone as I talked about getting the volume for a cheap price which is amazing considering it goes for thousands of dollars irl. I then put Eriq on the phone and he knew the guy because he had "interned" for him. The guy said Eriq was "his best intern"... ...I was talking to someone about my high school days with Ed, Edd, and Eddy () and then I said I had to go and ran down to a beach where comic book enemies of some sort were coming in waves. I looked down and was wearing a bathing suit and a brown beetle was stuck to it. Sammi was there and I told her to get the beetle off of me but she was scared of it. I pinched the beetle off and it bit me. I threw it into the water and flew upwards. Superman was with me now and we entered a strange glass building that people were acting weird in. I wondered why but then I noticed we were in a long glass corridor that seemed to go on for infinity. I felt dizzy and entered another corridor with Superman but this one had pink carpet and wallpaper and was rapidly undulating which was scary... ...I was in my grandparents home (not their home irl) and searching through an old toy chest of mine and Eriq's. I found a vaporwave looking novel with Japanese and English text. I kept it. Behind me now was rows of boxes with comics in them. At the end, my grandparents home was cleaned up now and looked fresh... ...I was in a gymnasium about to start a race. Everyone was an anime character...

I don't remember my dreams last night, but I do remember that I kept thinking there were spiders in my blanket as I fell asleep.

Dreams I recorded when MM was down...

-Last night I dreamnt about a tsunami destroying the world and I was trying to get higher, to safety. I finally got to a rope bridge up in the sky and then got hit by water, but I clung to the bridge and was safe. -I had an eldritch dream last night. I was in an apartment complex that was futuristic and a gaudy white. It was shaped like a U. Across the horizon was a thunderhead, but it was thousands of miles long and approaching like a strange sort of wave. I was then being ushered into a bus with some other young adults my age as the wind begin to pick up. The approach of this white cloud of death seemed so odd to me - like a puff of cotton candy enveloping the city. Next thing I know, we’re inside this storm and everything is lung red. Red mist swirls around us and the bus is trying to travel across a body of water. I look up and see a plane ascend into the mist. The shadow of a gigantic tentacle is seen for a split second and then an explosion. Some sort of eldritch creature emerges from the water with too many teeth and eyes. I jump off the bus into the water…

(I bet I had this dream because I was thinking about Saya so much last night. Maybe having H.P. Lovecraft’s “Eldritch Tales” beside my bed doesn’t help either.)

-I was swimming in a pool that was contained inside a glass box in the sky. Everything was very bright and blue.

-I went to Sammi's house and my parents met her mom and became friends. Then they let me stay at Sammi's house overnight and her mom hugged my parents before they all left to go somewhere together. I forgot my laptop but Sammi and I played that game where you pretend the floor is lava and thus, we weren't bored. (Her house was like a mansion in the dream. Very open and big.)

LOL. I went in to reply to this and say hi, and I was reminded that it's been at least 120 days since anyone has replied, and that I should consider starting a new post. Computers attempting to think for people is bad.

Anyway, nice to see a few folks still here.

I dreamed I was an evil clone of Wonder Woman fighting the real Wonder Woman. There were also evil clones of the Flash and Batman fighting the real Flash and Batman.

The same night??  It's like worlds/dimensions were splitting.  It makes me wonder how often something like this happens that only perpetuates the fractal nature of our universe.  For a second I wondered where we might BE in this fractal then it hit me.  Its fractal and there is no "where".

Hey Emily, I've noticed that you were one of the few still active members and thought I would reach out.  I was curious if you knew of any other active communities online for lucid dreaming, journals, or interpreting.  This was such a great place but its fallen out of sorts and being invaded by bots.

-Long dream. A spaceship abducted me but I don't remember what the aliens looked like. I was then in a strange cave that also looked like a mechanized library, trying to find someone to talk about my starseed-ness with. Then I was in a Spanish speaking country with my family and had to order tickets to a stuffed animal/plushie museum in Spanish.

The following is a prose version of a dream I had about my story “Red Shift”.

“Connect to the sky…”

“B-but why-? Why would someone try to break in here-?”

“Stellar. You ask too many questions. Please, just be quiet!”

The main lab for the Priesthood of Apokolips was in the Terrorium. This complex was located somewhat outside of the Ignis sector in a secluded corner of Apokolips. Only high ranking Apokoliptians could enter. Anyone else would be executed immediately for even daring to try. Dr. Bedlam, one of the chief scientists on Apokolips, had been showing a small group his latest horrifying weapons meant for use offworld. Among the group was Stellar, an astronomer searching for planets with intelligent life to conquer, Gilotina and Chasma, two regal Female Furies selected to come to the viewing, and Steppenwolf, the head general of Apokolips. Dr. Bedlam had been in the middle of discussing his new mind-altering creation when pandemonium erupted outside the facility. Someone was trying to split the doors in half, most likely to acquire the weapons inside. And this was unprecedented because no one had tried such a thing for hundreds of years. Who would dare?

That’s why Stellar was panicking.

Whoever was outside obviously smashed through all the Parademons and had a weapon like those that were in the Apokoliptian military. A molten crack ruptured through the door allowing a streak of white-hot light to pour through. Gilotina and Steppenwolf furiously raised their weapons, but Chasma started shouting.

“No! No! Give Stellar that new weapon! She’s the best shot here!”

Steppenwolf turned to Chasma, a nonplussed look rippling across his face.

“Since when can this child shoot!?”

Stellar suddenly snapped out of her anxiety and yelled back at Steppenwolf.

“I learned for-“

“STELLAR, JUST TAKE THE WEAPON!“

The doors ruptured, but Stellar was too late. She felt Chasma try to thrust Dr. Bedlam’s weapon into her arms, but then she felt something soft slap against the side of her head.

“OH MY-“

Her head felt like it was ripped off her neck, shattering with frigid electricity that spilt off her body. She started to convulse and then: abysm.

When Stellar rose back into the waking world, she noticed three things. One, the lab was wrecked. Two, there wasn’t anyone there except her anymore. Three, she could barely move without pain swelling in her head. She rolled onto her side, focusing on the broken doors. Maybe it was the effects of the stun weapon she had been blasted with, but she thought she saw shadows flittering by. She flexed her arms. Nope. Pain. She tried calling out.

“Steppenwolf? Gilotina? Is that you? Are you dead? I’m not… I’m not dead. Ste…”

END DREAM

-A dream about my old co-worker and co-manager, Kara. I really dislike her in real life, fyi. In the dream, she called me from our old work and was trolling me on the phone with a new co-worker of hers. I became so angry that I destroyed my phone. I called the Female Furies and we went to kick her ass. (Or worse.) There was one part where I accidentally startled Granny Goodness while we were in the mall. Also, Ursula from the Little Mermaid was there too. We found Kara and... (Jeez, I don't dislike her that much!)

-In my dream, I was back in 5th grade so I was like 10 years old and I was wandering around my elementary school, Camelot (that was it's name), and I encountered Steppe and was like "Who are you?" and he was like "I'll see you in the future, little one" and then the dream flashed and I was playing with my childhood friend Maija.

-I had the most random dream. First, I was skydiving with Sammie and as we were free-falling, we saw Pokémon and anime girls in these pink storm clouds. Then I was in a vaporwave looking mall telling someone about how I "sky dived with a Bulbasaur". Then I was in some random house coming downstairs and asked my mom "Where's Steppe?" and she was like "oh he's over there" and he was randomly in a rocking chair like some chill old man except he had on all his armor. I don't even know.

Hadn't heard of vaporwave before, but after reading about it, seems like something I might like. Vaporwave music, anyway. Will listen to it. OK, listening to 2 8 1 4 right now.

^I have never sky-dived, but I want too one day! 2 8 1 4 is amazing. <3 Try to check out Eco Virtual's work if you can! The song "Cumulus Fractus" is a favorite.

-There was one part of this dream where i was giving birth (NO THANKS) and it felt super realistic, like it hurt and I could feel the baby. Then there was a part where I was watching a movie and a small child got their head eaten off by a monster. And then I was suspended in a lake at night, looking at the stars and reaching for them, but they were so far away...

-Dream last night: It was really random. I was following Steppe across a cityscape but I stopped by a hotel and then I blinked and there were like, five tornadoes on the horizon. And Steppe told me to hurry up so I kept walking and the sky turned red. Then my mom was there and tackled me to the ground and was like "NO! DONT GO WITH HIM!!!!" and I shoved her off and ran after Steppe who grabbed my hand. Then we were back by the hotel from earlier, which was now rotating into the sky. Then I woke up. : >

Wow sounds like an intense tornado dream. I had one recently that had  a pack of tornadoes.

-I was flying across a city looking for a spaceship. I saw a little boy flying in a park and he flew into the sky with me. Then we saw a large white jellyfish in the sky.

I've had some more Apokolips dreams, will update here later w/ them. Just wanted to write out the jelly dream lol.

-An Apokolips dream: I was on Earth, in my town. I was driving and it seems the sun had just set. You could see the faint orange glow creeping up from the horizon. The stars looked ethereal and there were fast moving orange,pink,red clouds (that looked like nebulae). A red omega flashed in the sky and then an Apokoliptian spaceship flew overhead, shining spotlights on the ground. I stopped the car and got out, waving my arms and shouting. The spaceship came back and there was a white flash of light. I saw Steppe doing that smile he does (>///<) then I woke up.

-I was walking along the sidewalk outside my house at night. There were luna moths all over the grass and flying in the air. They were catching the moonlight and landing on me and then flying away. I was crying from their beauty. Then I saw a polyphemus moth relaxing on the grass and a woman almost stepped on her. I was screaming in my head to not hurt her but the words wouldn't come out. Luckily, the lady walked away and the polyphemus moth took flight.

(I really love moths!)

Dream: All I saw at first was endless darkness, but then I remember waking up and I was on Apokolips in the house that always appears in my dreams (it’s the one Stellar lives in, the one in Ignis). Because the house is circular, I was facing the center of the room. I think it was the middle of the night because it was pretty dark (even though Apok’s skies don’t change often due to being in New Genesis’ shadow, it does get slightly lighter and darker depending on the time of day). Someone was there (idk which person) and touched my shoulder - I tried to turn and look but my vision fractured and bloomed like a crystal. I was like “I want to come back, let me visit!"

And then I woke up, the end.

For a second I thought you were posting dreams again.

I actually tried creating an account there to see what is going on over there but the registration page is pretty screwy and gave up on it. Tried again and still get the stupid pop up that says my letters don't match the picture and there isn't any pictures with letters. lol.

Trying to save my wrists for my journal though so not sure how active I can be there. Have carpal tunnel issues so have to be pretty careful of it. Just hoping I can continue Journaling. So far it's working out but it can flare up pretty bad pretty suddenly sometimes. Probably been typing too much lately.

I'll keep it in mind for later, thanks for the heads up. Maybe once I get a few things settled on my end I'll take a closer look.

That said - and correct me if I'm wrong of course - from what little I can view without an account this Deep Dreaming forum looks like a bit of a reaction to the disagreements that eventually left Mortal Mist in its current state. Past experience has taught me to walk cautiously into places carrying baggage like that.

Well it was a long time ago when all that happened. I'm sure it's a friendly place over there, just a few old members journaling and chatting sharing experiences and what not. At least that's what I gather about it.

I'd prefer to keep my journal out in the open though.

They could always stop in here now and then too, just as DR-T has.

Yes, but mostly no. The history here is pretty simple. There were folks who founded DreamViews. Eventually that site became commercialized, literally, so the same folks branched off and created this site.

There were many years where folks were passionate about this site. Hell. Search on my posts. I've probably logged 1000+ lucid dreams, wrote tutorials, published research and so forth.

What ultimately ruined things at MM, was one "founder" who took issue with anything "paranormal". She would get very rude about things, and then other people would chime in, and disagreement ensued. It was really only 3 people driving the arguments. Anyway. One banished herself. One committed suicide. And another is just missing in action.

Pete and I (prior to things falling apart here) set-up DD more as a site where anything is allowed, and it's understood up front that everyone needs to be respectful of others opinions. It worked well in that context. But yeah, things are quiet over there.

No, I won't be posting over here anymore. I put so much effort into this place, and watched a few people bring it down. Literally 3-4 people. I'm glad that you guys are moving forward with things.

Yeah, different time, basically different forum since the members make the forum and they are all gone... That stuff has no baring what so ever on what I'm doing for myself now.  And it is for myself, so it just doesn't matter. Simply using the quiet place to journal for my own purposes. I'm not doing anything to try and build anything. If others come along and want to journal here, cool, if not, then not. Whatever. I'm just thankful Littlest leaf dragon is keeping the place running so we can journal here if we want.
