Usual uni/food stuff
I am at a university and it's evening - probably very late as there are not many people about. I head into the department, past a children's area where I see a boy (so the notes say) and into a common area where some tables are laid out in alcoves. One table alone seems to be for students so I head to it. It's really messy and a man is sitting at one of the chairs. I put the dirty crocks on a tray.
Nothing remarkable - I often visit universities in my dreams. Dunno why.
School friend visits
I am expecting JB to come. As usual I'm at the house I grew up in. I hear a noise outside and check the bathroom window in case he comes in that way. . There's a ladder there but nobody is climbing it.
I go out of the front door and see him arriving in a 3-wheeler car. I'm under-impressed but that changes as I watch how the car folds in on itself, becoming the size of a large backpack. JB seems to have the latest technology here. A crowd are watching all of this, including two policemen, and they're impressed too. Meantime, a couple of young men are driving away in a car which looks a little like Dick Dastardly's car, with a large cc rumbling engine and nipping between parked cars. More impressive than JB's 3-wheeler but nobody takes any notice.
JB and two little daughters come inside. His hair has got darker since we were young.
I saw a 3-wheeler yesterday. The dream was rather vivid. Can't think what is going on here though.
Mrs Crosshaw
I have started counselling at a new GP practice. It's impressive, with lcd readouts on the doors, lard curved reception and modern lighting. I leave the counsellors room because it's time to meet my very first client here.
I go to reception and they say Mrs Crosshaw is waiting. I greet her - she's with her mother - and realise I don't know what room I have. I go to reception and ask a young receptionist, who takes me to a room on the far right. She's a young, attractive, mixed-race woman but shows no interest in me beyond a professional smile.
The lcd display on the door changes to show my name, although it's not my name, and it keeps changing anyway (as words do). It's already after 10am, when we supposed to start, and I remind Mrs Crosshaw (and her mother is still with us) that we still have to finish at 10.50 even if we start late through her late arrival.
Now her mother has been joined by some others, including two policemen. They're all sitting round the table, excited about the forthcoming counselling. Then they start singing!
Two cops again!!! And a crowd of DCs (and PCs ha ha) just like the first dream. I'm sure I've been in this dream surgery before. Or dreamed of similar ones.
I think the young receptionist was a grown up version of a little girl I saw in a cafe yesterday.

Tom's car
I'm at Chris' house thats now huge. Actually its nothing like his house in RL, and it really is huge. Its morning and i'm still waking up. Chris is scurrying around the house, getting ready for something. His talking to me, but i'm not responding to him, because i'm reading something. After a while I get up and see what Chris is doing. I think my family are at his house now and i decide to get out of there. About 50m down the road, i see Tom's car. His just getting out and Chris is there. I go over and Tom asks if i want to ride in his car. Its a ute and i jump in the back. the cars driving with out a driver, but i don't consider that a problem. I'm under the impression that Tom's just got the highest quality bass on the market, and i really want to see how loud it can get. I'm scared the police will see me in the back, so i lay flat down.
I'm out of the car and i start talking to somebodies dad. His kinda weird in that his trying too hard to act young. He kept hanging around and eventually i made an excuse up, to let me leave. I remember walking along a path, next to the beach similar to one i walked on a couple of weeks back
Ben J
When i first woke up i was under the impression Ben actually came around last night. Turns out it was a dream. Basically i was in my entrance and Ben had just arrived. He left shortly after tho.
The dream involving Tom was rather weird. I was talking to Chris today about the dream, and he told me that the dream pretty much happened the other night. Apparently on Friday night (i was quite a bit intoxicated) Chris was talking to me about how he brought tom's old duel bass amps. What i saw in the dream was Tom helping Chris set up the amps. Also that night i was crowding around some guys ute and looking at his bass/damage that mysteriously got there..... does my SC remember stuff that my conscious doesn't? Even when under the influence.

QuoteI've often wondered why there are so many words for the colours in that pink-purple part of the spectrum and whether there are huge differences - purple, crimson, lilac, cerise, rose, taupe....
Yea, that's true. I start looking at colors on wikipedia sometimes and just go from one to another, reading about them. (Weird, I know. ) And speaking of red-purple, another weird thing is how colors are cuz of the wavelenths of the light, in a linear way, yet the spectrum is circular, with red blending into purple. I read the explanation for that, but didn't understand it really, hence I forgot it.
The university (and university/shopping mall combo) is a common dream-place for me too.

If the Kinks would sell out, that would be a good commercial song for real estate agency. (Maybe they have, I don't know; I can't recall any of their songs in commercials right now.)
QuoteUsual uni/food stuffYep, that's a typical scenario for me too. College that is also a cafeteria, or sometimes mall.
QuoteI've often wondered why there are so many words for the colours in that pink-purple part of the spectrum and whether there are huge differences - purple, crimson, lilac, cerise, rose, taupe....maybe because purple dye was such a big thing in the ancient world?

Quote from: Burned up on August 21, 2010, 05:57:40 PM...wiki says it gets its name from malva, a flower we call mallow. We have a plant with such a name (malva is the Portuguese name too). I could easily get it here, from the fields.
