Hi, Joy
Regarding EPR experiment: "Later the experiment was carried out and the effect has proved true across distances of several miles."
Could you give me the source of this information? I asked myself since some years, if it has ever been proved.
Nice synchronicity, this driving and flying thing. Although I'm looking for Psi examples. I wouldn't count it as telepathic, too.
Your learning and teaching dream sounds good. I had some of this "high energy" lucid and non - lucid dreams, too. I still wonder, how the mind manages to create this feelings, resp. to open us for this feelings, that are so different in intensity, as waking feelings (at least most of the time). And dreams answers to our questions are often surprising, but wise.

Hi, adastra, thanks for your comments! This forum is too much fun. I have a 3-day weekend and promised myself to diligently devote my time to a couple of long-term in-progress creative projects, and here I am playing with my friends on the dream playground again. Well, I'll get to work right after this...
Ralf, hi, loved your smoky dream! In response to your interest in "funny reality checking situations" I just went and posted my recent favorites in the "Dream Signs" section. As for EPR:
My source of info was a series of tapes sold by The Teaching Company - "Einstein's Relativity and the Quantum Revolution: Modern Physics for Non-Scientists" by Professor Richard Wolfson of Middlebury College. I trust the information is good, but a frustration for the NON-non-scientist is that original sources are not cited.
As summarized in the course outline, "John Bell (1964) considered an experiment in which the electrons are tested again after a first spin measurement. He showed that the statistical distribution of the results would be different depending on whether the states of the electrons were really determined when they were created or were truly indeterminate until measured. EPR experiments done in 1982 by Alain Aspect of the University of Paris yielded statistics confirming quantum indeterminacy. Since then, ever more sophisticated experiments - including some in which the measuring apparatus is switched randomly after the particles are created - have confirmed that quantum indeterminacy is an inherent feature of EPR-type phenomena. By the late 1990s, experiments in Switzerland had confirmed the EPR effect in particles separated by several miles."
I probably shouldn't have said the particles "impart a spin to each other" because all that's really shown is that they are connected in some manner that we don't understand. Wolfson goes on to explain that it's impossible to use this effect to send information and so it doesn't violate relativity and needn't have troubled Einstein.
But I remember reading a brief news report about the experiments back in 1982 and thinking, so: Science has at least one example of what I've known since my first telepathic dream, that events can be connected in ways our senses can't readily explain....
I was listening to this tape series in my car on a long road trip to visit my son at UC Berkeley. Lecture 21 was playing as I drove down University Avenue and I was pleased to hear Prof. Wolfson start talking about the EPR experiment, as I'd always wanted to know more about it. Meanwhile I remembered a recent LD in which I'd looked (as if from above) into a florist shop on the south side of University Ave. a few blocks from campus, and I wondered if such a shop really existed. Just as Wolfson was quoting Einstein about "spooky action at a distance," I saw the shop. Of course the really strange part (you'll know if you've ever been to Berkeley) was that I found a parking spot; anyway, I fed the meter a nickel and trotted in to see if the proprietess looked like the one I dreamed. Yup... could be coincidence... or, score one for spooky action.
Bought some flowers, anyway -

Here is an interesting instance of layered degrees of low-level lucidity: the dreamer observing the dreamer observing the dreamer. I was thinking about dream telepathy before I went to sleep last night (having just remembered that my first volitional lucid dream seemed to evoke a synchronous dream in a total anti-woo-woo skeptic, and thinking that story might interest you-all - let me know if it does and I'll tell it).
I dreamed that I had a double life: I would go to sleep wherever I was - in this dream it was in a sleeping bag in a big grassy field, dismissing family and friends: "Leave me alone now, I'm going dreaming" - and join up with a man who also had another life in which he had a pregnant wife, but in our ongoing mutual dreams he was part of a westward wagon train, I was a Native American woman and we shared a profoundy close relationship, knowing we were dreaming all along. I observed and contemplated various dream aspects: the intensity and rapidity of a dream orgasm; the psychological intricacies of the dream relationship - gentle teasing and self-deprecating humor which seemed to help in dealing with the otherwise-overwhelming strength and mystery of the bond; the possible dream symbolism of the "+" pattern formed by the squares on the soles of the dream-woman's moccasins. I could see that pattern as I left her: she/I told the man that he should get back to his other wife now, she's having the baby, and he and I went to sleep in that dream and returned to our other dream lives.
In fact I had a triple life, and didn't really realize that the dreamer in the grassy field was herself a dream until I woke up!

Thanks for going into detail about the ERP thing. I think I'll search the web with the information, you gave.
Your triple life dream: All that we see or seem, is but a dream within a dream...

Tholey and Kelzer-- comments on lucidity clarified??
Having studied with Ken kelzer intermittently from 70's-90's...whose descriptions of lucidity changed and solidified as he left marin community college and took over grad dept's psych position at uc berkley,
----Now // (and still) questionning degrees of lucidity? for example.../dead person orchestrates dream on 5/17 (birthday of living husb, Schulhof)
In this dream, schulhof was wearing a hawaiian shirt belonging to my late husband....reluctantly viewing and remembering camelot hawaiian dances from the 70's---while still in the dream...., I became emblazoned, enmeshed, transfixed---- in seeing fresh shirt colors in warm motion being worn by new, young husband (schulhof). Young wendy was at end of tunnel trying to get to my sister... who was reclining on fancy pillows --neon, alternating with smokey, colorful aura.
Young wendy, observing, struggling with door openening device-- thought...i will steal from nearby author--( absent from her sultan's palace like-office..adjacent to sisters bed-throne)... author....stronger words for depth control. Fading out as---cloudy, possible Intent to plagarize from her visible notebook..., i think.
The degree of lucidity is in question...hawaiian scents clear///pillows softness comforting me while in dance motion....yet not the "I am dreaming" aspect. Clue of malfunctioning device.. non-working remote control device-- to open doorknob to authors office for stealing. ++++++++++++++++++++++++ LD prep:
