Sorry I don't know if this is the right forum for it.

So, I'm sure many of you lucid dream to try and acomplish goals or perhaps started to lucid dream with a set of goals in your mind. Well Basically I created this thread in mind for us to share our own goals and perhaps help support each other in completing the goals.

So far, my current goals are to use telepathy, I have never been able to do it. I'd also like to try something along the lines of bungee jump and see if the rope/elastic bounces realistically or brake

However something I have always wanted to do is play with water. I've only had water in my lucids a few times and never really experimented with it. I'd like to try and make something out of water, say a sand castle from it. Perhaps even surf.

So what are your tasks/goals?

You picked a fine board to pose this question in.

My first goal is to start having consistent lucids again.  No small feat, as life has been interfering ferociously.  Things do seem to be settling down again now, finally.

Many of my lucid goals involve the tasks we are working on in the Deep Dreaming group.  I find interacting with DCs endlessly fascinating.

Another goal now is to work on three & four's Peeling Away Layers of Consciousness exercise.  That has taken a high priority in my Lucid to-do list.

I am terrible at summoning things and people--I'd like to get better at that.

I'd like to develop the ability to become insubstantial, to use when DC's get aggressive.  I'm still not as good at going thru solid objects like walls and ceilings as I'd like to be.

Telekinesis would be cool.

(Those are in addition to my Deep Dreaming goals.)

1 because a third of our life is spent sleeping. I would like to utilize some of that. 2 for further spiritual, psychological exploration 3 for music creation and general creativity 4 live out events that everyday life does not provide for (12 hour session of tantric sex with Angelina Jolie for instance)

I am always fascinated by other's goals. I'm always surprised by our imaginative capabilities.

Simply, I am going to try to have a black and white lucid dream. I have had a handful of black and white dreams that were non-lucid. Also having a few monochromatic dreams consisting of various shades,  had  profound effects on the feel of the dream.  I would like to see the effect for me as I am experiencing a conscious dream.

I see some interesting goals here.

I have several, and my focus on them vary.

Right now my main priority is to get over my anxiety (see my other thread), and my lucid dreams would be an excellent tool for that, as long as I know how...

I'm also trying to find out just how I get lucid, I'm hoping that unlocking my "secret" will help others get lucid dreams more often. I know that's a goal for many people. I've gotten some interesting results so far.

Another goal I'm prioritising right now is to teach myself to remember if I have any lucid tasks. I just need to get myself to stop and think "do I have any lucid tasks to do?" I've had success, but sporadic.

That sounds like the summary I would make from my tasks.

I have a 'lucid training workbook' in my google docs. It's a list of tasks, both new and achieved ones. But also a list of steps to improve the frequency and duration of my lucids.

At the moment, I'm focusing on a few abilities, that would make 'lucid life' a lot easier if I'm good at them. Telekinesis is a lot of fun when it works. And flying, to get to another place quickly, but even more to just enjoy the freedom! When those work OK, I'd like to start on summoning objects or persons.

I found out, that only when focusing on 1 task at a time and taking it step by step, I can make some improvement.

Some of my other tasks are:

Become a horse, feel what it's like to be a horse. Ask my DCs what my common dream signs mean Create a 'lucid workshop' as a space for practising and solving problems.

OK, now you guys are going to think me really really strange for this and I assure you, I am a "normal", happily married male.  Just curious!

One goal I've had for a while now is gender shifting.  My goal is a good long lasting high definition LD in which I swap genders, I'd just like to see what it's like, look in a mirror and see how I look, walk around and interact with DC's.  No sexual goal involved, either hetero or homo.

I think gender swapping may be something I should try somewhere down the lines... But, right now, I'd be happy with the simple goal of bringing my stories to life -at least the less horrific ones- to get me back into writing-ness. Lately I've just been off my writing abilities, no inspiration in the least.

I did the gender swap in front of a mirror for that lucid task of the month a while back. The change was in physical appearance only and didn't effect the way I felt. It was pretty cool though. I'd like to try again and maybe "explore" a little farther. But you didn't hear that from me

My current goal is simply to regain my former skills of recall and get some lucidity back. I can say, though, that I have been working on it and my recall has improved each night for the past few nights now. That's good.

Anyone familiar with my old DJ knows of my overarching task involving a rose. That one has been so elusive I can't believe. And I've tried in a lot of LDs. I'd get half of the materials gathered with little problem. It's actually completing the task that's been a ridiculous challenge, causing me to put it aside. But I'd love to complete it. Man would I love to. It would be a huge 'goal accomplished' marker for me.

It's puzzling because I've completed so many other tasks I've tried with little complication at all. Well, it's not all that puzzling to me. I have a good idea why I've failed so many times. But that's not for this discussion.

And I'd love to try asking some more-direct questions of my DCs, such as those posed by Moonbeam and pj.

  1. Become lucid, regularly
  2. Self-improvement. Summon my subconscious (Did this once, two instances of me at age 8 showed up... with a red and a white polo shirt on, o_O but never managed to have a conversation) and talk about my life's goals, how to achieve them, rid myself of self-limiting beliefs, and fears, and figure out how to achieve ultimate happiness in life.

Great to read everyone's goals. Good topic.

In random order.

Reacquire WILDing abilities,

Achieve one lucid dream per night.

Use my lucid dreamscape as a venue to play out sequences for my writing, and to supplement my writing in general.

Conscious/Subconscious Experimentation

Exploring and tapping ESP abilities.

Stress relief in the form of Adventuring through fantasies and flights of fancies. =P

Discovering and maximizing my own potential.

There are many more, but that covers most of it.

Scrying, is like using a crystal ball but also you can use any reflective surface. I dream of water a lot, of mirrors and windows, all reflective and all potential objects to be scrying in. So I figured why not try it in lucid dreams and see what happens.

LucidBulbs, I have tried to Scry. Wasn't successful though. I even made a black mirror which was accidentally broken when I knocked it off of my dresser. And that was the end of that. I'd like to find someone who could teach me how to do it. Finding someone isn't all that easy.

Do you remember if you had success scrying?

As for scrying, I don't think I was too successful. I didn't really realize it was that hard to find someone, well, at least, I never thought about it, I suppose it would be hard to find someone. Too bad I never really tried it after I gave up, it's as foreign to me now as eating fioie gras.

Get my recall regular

Start having lucids regularly (once a week would be nice! is that asking too much My lucids come in patchy clumps))

-By keeping a dj -Looking for dreamsigns -Reality checking often -Milding -Trying to WILD on weekends

Explore the dream world -Just general running around (I really enjoy changing scenes!) -Change genders -Become other things (animals, inanimate objects etc.)

Random introspective type stuff -Interrogate my dream characters about my personality etc. -Try changing my dream to Japanese (maybe in a few months when my language ability is better! this should be interesting) -Find my/a dream guide

Work on WILD! -(I mean really work on WILD)

Hopefully I'll be able to add to this list as there is so much I want to do

My main current goal is to finish my last goal; explore my tropical island paradise I only got a glimpse of last time. The door I used to get there had just opened revealing the gorgeous white sand, green palms and azure waves when I was rudely awoken. So I want to go back there and explore, as was my intention in the first place.

Then I want to call up a dragon. A western dragon. I want to talk to it, perhaps have an interesting conversation, then go for a swim and play with said dragon. I don't want to fly any more, but I do want to practice using the Force more. Do other things than telekinesis, which I overuse in LDs.

And I want to try parkour.

QuoteI want to get some regular lucid dreams so that i can start building proper stability and control over them as opposed to using what time i have in the dream to run around doing quick tasks.I'll second that. I've been autosuggesting more than ever lately so that hopefully with time, I'll have LD's every night.

My main dream goal though is to have realistic sex with movie stars and models. That was the big draw to LD'ing for me in the beginning, and still is.

Gender changing is a big one too, and then to change the gender of the women too. (only the equipment, not the face). I've done both things once or twice in lucids, and it was satisfying, but they weren't very realistic.

Also, I keep having dreams that involve this immense house with all kinds of secret rooms and stuff. I'd like to go there while lucid and explore it.

I'd also like to fly, which is something I've only done twice and only once realistically.

Haha, how'd you know? That game was a big part of the inspiration for that scenery! I love the graphics in Far Cry: Instincts, especially the second 'level'. I got the demo from OXM way back, and I played it over and over. I'd clear out the encampment, then run around admiring the beach, the water, and the foliage as I shot up explosive barrels. Then not too long ago, I finally broke down and bought the game for my Xbox. I love it. I'm taking my time playing it.

I digress, though that game was precisely where my mind's image of the lush island paradise came from. I just want to experience it fully, walk barefoot in the white sand, watch the palm trees waving gently in the breeze, and just explore what my mind has created for me. I've seen it now, nothing can stop me!

Unseen, that house sounds interesting. And flying is easy, just imagine you're me (Superman).
