I'd like to bond and fly with a banshee too... if it doesn't kill me first.

I got an Avatar game for my ipod touch. $10. Just throwing that out there in case anyone else has a touch and would like to get the game.

I'm going to use it to incubate some Pandora dreams in the near future.

I LOVED Avatar!   it is very dreamy.  but I am most impressed with the anthropology research they did -- the Pandora religion is right out of Amazonian shamanism, as well as the shamanism of Polynesia.  the jungle contains information that the people access in altered states.  enter ayahuasca, and lucid dreaming of course!  I met an anthropologist last year who works in Malay and she confirms that lucid dreaming is still a big part of shamanism with the natives.  the shamans go into dream states, transform into an animal or a plant, and then "download" the information they need to tell the others.  (this is to contrast those who say Kilton Stewart's work with the Senoi was fantasy-- he may have embellished, but the Malay are definitely a dreaming culture).

great movie and hopefully it will spark more interest in shamanism, altered states, and oh yeah, the destruction of the primeval forests.

Just got back from seeing it. R.C'd 6 or 7 times throughout the film. It really did live up to the reputation..and made me cry at about 3 points.

Yep..hopefully some Pandora lucid dreams to come.

Just came back from watching it in 3D... not in IMAX as originally planned though. Still, it was extremely awesome. Best movie in a while. I might go back sometime for the IMAX experience, it deserves it.

I know what I'm gonna dream about tonight!

I travelled to just outside Toronto to see it in IMax yesterday, got there and it was full for all three showings. The place was packed. Next time I'm getting my damn tickets online before heading anywhere.

I totally want to go to Pandora in a lucid. Seeing it in IMAX 3-D was worth wearing the stupid glasses.

It was such a dreamy movie!!!

Lol Vex, I went to the theater early (like about an hour) and there was already a line And sadly, for avatar, some of the showing you couldn't get online.

Ah, I'll have to make sure I make plans well in advance next time. We trusted someone who lives in TO, he told us that theater was dumpy and hardly anyone went to it. He was wrong. I can't wait to see him again.

That's exactly what happened to my friends and me. It doesn't help that the theatre's site doesn't mention sell outs.
