Okay so I've been parkouring through my dreams both lucid and non lucid since long before I even heard of the word parkour, or had any idea it was a real life thing. I never even heard of parkour until the Dying Light parkour zombie apocalypse video game.
So last night I felt kind of close to lucid, doing a little parkouring in a couple of different dreams. There are times in my dreams, when it's like a flip switches in my mind. I can't control myself, I get a burst of energy, and I go parkour insane all over the place Doesn't even have to be lucid, sometimes it does transition into lucidity though.
I was wondering why I've not even looked up parkour on youtube. So I just did, and started a new parkour video playlist to help inspire me to bohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFFhkkil0sEth have more parkour dreams, and inspire myself and help motivate me into lucidity.
I found this video, gave me goosebumps because of how much it feels like I'm watching a video of myself in my dreams.

One of my most recent completely random lucids during my off focus time was during a dream where I was in a place similar to this video. The parkour switch flipped in my head and I was going nuts parkouring through the rocky formations. The dream transitioned into full blown lucidity.

And these people are just down right insane... I can't get enough of this kind of stuff in lucid dreams, but in waking life, no thank you.

Parkouring in dreams sounds like too much fun. Have you done this in the waking world? I can't say I've exactly parkoured in dreams but I have run up the side of skyscrapers and spiderman leapt about a couple of times. If I manage to parkour in a dream I will update it here.

No not really, at least not like that. I didn't even know what it was until a few years ago even though I have always been doing it in my dreams. But I've always been very quick, agile, with great balance, reflexes, and hand eye coordination. And I practice juggling to keep my reflexes in good tone. I've always had a thing about motion, which naturally comes through in my dreams. My mom once told me I was walking at a younger than normal age. I still think if someone had gotten me into hockey as a kid , I would have been one of the best goal tenders in the history of the game. And been a rich super star lol.
Maybe if I had learned about parkour at a young age, and knew of a training school for it. I never learned how to do real life flips though I always wanted to. Just never had a gymnastics class or anything like that. But I think it's probably more fun in dreams anyway since it can be taken much further, and no risk of injury. When these real life parkour guys mess up. It's bad, really bad.
You should try it in a lucid dream. Just start running really fast and doing flips and leaping off of things and what not. It's an addictive sense of freedom.
We should make this thread for any sort of lucid dream inspiring videos.
Fun silly parkour video of a real life Spiderman.

Here is another really good one. Wow...

Check this guy out. Flying across the country at high speeds on a hovering board like the Green Goblin from Spiderman. Unreal. I'd love to trade in my car for one of these things...

I know right. I think it is supposed to be real. I saw another video of him flying one at some military show decked out like some kind of futuristic soldier and flying over the heads of crowds. I think they were saying he was trying to get the military to use them if I remember right. It was right on the front page news on my computer when I turned it on one day and I was like WTF, really? Then I found that video of him flying across the country side.
I did a quick google and the estimated price for the hover board is a measly $250,000.00. My house might be worth about that much if I cash it in.
Wow, cool. I think maybe I'll wait until they become more mainstream and the price comes down as it always does with new tech. Can you imagine everyone in town flying around on those things... Could get dangerous. I wonder how they would manage the airborne traffic.
A fun video I just came across.

I want this VR parkouring game. I'm sure this would really help influence more parkour dreams. Unfortunately, it's apparently not on PLaystation VR (Which I have.) Too bad. Maybe another VR Parkour game will come along that I can get. Well, I'm sure there will be. If there is one, there will be more, and even better ones.

So I was thinking about one of my more recent lucid dreams. (One of the few I had this year anyways 2020.) Where I had asked a dream character if he had his own thoughts.
This led me to thinking along the lines of since if my dream character is a part of my own thoughts. That it might be fun to ask a dream character to try and read my mind and see what happens. See if I could project any kind of thoughts or images to the dream character and get them to tell me what I'm thinking and see what kind of responses I get.
Of all the lucid interacting with dream characters and asking them questions people like to do in lucid dreams. I don't remember ever reading about anyone asking dream characters to try and read their mind before.
I feel like any number of things could happen. Anywhere from getting a random silly nonsensical answer, to them telling you exactly what you're thinking. Or, I feel like I could also probably force a dream character to say just about anything though I've not tried it. On occasions I've used telekinesis to control dream characters actions as if they are puppets on strings. But I've never purposely tried to control a dream characters speech at all. (Not that I remember anyways.)
I feel like this could get so many possible types of responses depending on how it's approached.
Anyways. Just a thought and something that might be a fun experiment to try.
This would be an excellent experiment. My dream characters are so oppositional I'd like to read their minds and see what in the dreamworld they are thinking. Or perhaps to tell them via mind that they are in a dream instead of stating it. Maybe they would be more apt to believe me if I told them that way. I look forward to trying this.
Cool idea trying to let them know they are dreaming that way. Yeah, I originally was thinking that I wish I knew what they were thinking. But then realized since they are the ones already inside my mind, maybe they can see what I'm thinking. And might be fun to see what they say when asked about it.
It could happen. I had a non lucid recently where I was on my computer and I stumbled on a creepy website infused with an entity that could read my mind. It was like one of those horror movies where the evil website locks people into some supernatural death game.
So my computer was sort of like a dream character in that situation that could read my mind. If my dream computer could do it I don't see why any regular dream character couldn't.
This is my cup of tea in lucid dreams. But in waking reality? No thanks...

I've actually never had a lucid flying dream, but I hope to; I feel like the views here could inspire one.

Well, I'm not a regular or super-experienced lucid dreamer. I think that's partly because I'm not naturally a very goal-oriented person; I sort of go with the flow and have spontaneous lucid dreams here and there. So, I think I'd have to really discipline myself in order to have an epic jumping or flying dream like the ones you describe.
Naturally, my more stable lucid dreams tend to be character-focused and centered around connecting with a dream character in whatever way I need at that time. My world-focused lucid dreams are never stable - I'll realize that I'm lucid and get so excited that I'll do a crazy flip or something and then wake up almost instantly.
Wow. Well I hope you keep at it long enough to experience a good extended full blown lucid dream. There isn't anything like it. And here is hoping you get the opportunity to dive headfirst off of some extremely tall cliffs!
Here is something different for the thread. I don't know why It's never crossed my mind to look up Captain jax, Or Pikes Peak on Youtube before.
I used to actually ride my bike on this trail back in the mid 90's. But I guess even being a sea level flat lander, I was more hard core than most that do it. Because, I wasn't driving. I never once got a ride to the top of the mountains and rode down. I started at my apartment and rode my bike to the top, spending the day in mountains biking, then riding all the way back home. lol.
The first time though, riding to the top of this trail. Being a rookie mountain biker I stupidly wasn't prepared. lol. I rode all the way to the top, once I got to the top, I had a flat tire... And couldn't ride down. I walked all the way back down the mountain pushing my bike until I could get to a pay phone to call a cab to pick me up and drive me home. That was the last time I ever went biking without having what I needed to fix a tire. Except for the time I was far away from home and got a flat and when I went to fix it I realized I forgot to grab my air pump on the way out! lol. Because my air pump is usually permanently mounted to the bike. But I had taken the pump off the mount when it was at the house for some reason or another and set it down, and completely forgot to put it back on.
Anyways. Captain Jax.

Makes sense that women would be brilliant at parkour seeing how they are such great gymnast.
That weird blue contraption about the 4:45 mark into this video is so parkour dream like...

These guys made a live action parkour reenactment of the Dying Light 2 parkour zombie apocalypse game. Awesome and funny at the same time. Great work. Fun stuff.

I stumbled upon this misleading clickbait nonsense yesterday.
The only danger I see in this video is that some people may become scared of something they have no need to be scared of because of a lack of experience and or understanding. And why the heck would this guy be telling people that encountering a scary situation in a dream while lucid is scarier than when you are not lucid. Seriously dude? If you are lucid you should know you don't have to be scared at all... Obviously an inexperienced dreamer made this video and titled it 6 Hidden Dangers Of Lucid Dreaming to get people to click on it to get more views. Maybe get paid by youtube for getting the views.
One danger that is not even a danger since fear on it's own is no danger at all unless you somehow manage to scare yourself into having a heart attack. And that isn't even a danger of lucid dreaming since not being lucid should be a lot more scary than being lucid since being lucid you should be aware that there is no danger and as such not be scared
Edit: Looking over the comments in this youtube video a little bit. This whole fear thing in lucid dreams so many people seem to have a problem with just goes right over my head. I don't get it. I'm 51 years old now and been doing this since the 80's and gotten lucid during the most horrific and terrify situations imaginable and even unimaginable. Super natural dangers or otherwise. And not even once not even in the early days did I remain afraid after becoming lucid realizing it was a just a dream and there was no real danger. On the contrary, those moments where I reached pure terror in a non lucid dream and the sudden rush of realization that it was a dream was nothing but a sigh of relief as I experience an instant loss of all fear whatsoever. Then nothing but joy and fun as now it's time for me to have fun toying with the would be scary things that are not.
But then I'm the weird person that loves the scary freaky shit even if I don't get lucid to me it's just like a wild ride at the theme park. I love the intensity of it, and the scarier the better because if I can actually become scared enough it will trigger lucidity and then the real fun begins. But that doesn't happen as often anymore because it's tough for me to get that scared in dreams anymore even when not lucid.
In one recent pretty wild one where I got lucid I offered up my neck to a sword wielding enemy to allow him to do his best to try and decapitate me. When that didn't work out so well for him I got bored of that pretty quickly and decided to play around with telekinesis and ended up melting him down to a puddle. I was kind of surprised by the melting effect that never happened before but it was entertaining. In one of my last lucids from this month I think my my mind was trying to scare me into lucidity as I tend to believe my mind will do that on purpose to try and help me become lucid but when it wasn't working because I wasn't getting scared enough there was a sudden scene shift that put me right where I needed to be to receive my best dreamsign of getting airborne and that did get me lucid.
