This is the very first Seasonal Endeavor. The idea behind this is a dreaming goal that is so grand in scale that one could spend a season striving for it, rather than just one month. Often times they will involve something you do in waking life as well (which explains the potentially long duration), with emphasis on closing the gap between waking reality and the dream world.

The Endeavor for Fall 2010 is to do something you've never done before, something you couldn't fathom before actually doing it, inside of a lucid dream. Then partake in the same experience in waking life, and compare it to what your dream was like.

Your emphasis should be in making it memorable, something with ramifications that are beyond what you can readily imagine. It can be something highly emotional, or it could be something sensational. It should challenge or inspire you as an individual.

It can be visiting a place you've always dreamed of visiting (though not literally until now!). It can be something that challenges the nerves and the senses, something that boosts the adrenaline. Maybe its a deep memory, like getting married or becoming a parent. The only prerequisites are it has to be something you yourself find interesting and challenging, and something you couldn't fully appreciate until you've done it. Only you can decide what is meaningful to you.

Those of you who would like to try it should start by making an entry in your awake journal or dream journal, confirming to yourself the intention to complete a goal. Once it has been decided and posted, quote your journal entry here. Announcing to everyone in this thread that you're accepting the challenge should further motivate you, while your entry may inspire others to participate. Then attempt to complete the goal during a lucid dream. Once you have done so and recorded it, quote it from your journal and post it here. Finally, relive the same experience in the waking world and describe with the same detail you would a vivid dream. Describe how it made you feel, and compare the two experiences, and post it here.

The current Seasonal Inspirations is accepting dreams now, as well.

This ought to be an interesting challenge.  Maybe my first endeavor will be to think up something to do for this.  I might be ready by winter.

I think it's absolutely necessary to be open ended with these but it also means people will need to discover on their own what the goal will be for them.

Unfortunately, that appears to be the case. Either yearly or nonexistent endeavors.

I have an endeavour... it's not really as you described it, but it is also something that won't get me killed, so...

I won't be working on it for a bit, though. I finally beat down a couple of id-goals that were blocking my path to some other important goals. Now that the SC is satisfied, I can get some real work done. So, brother first, another id-goal, then my endeavour
