Wolvendeer and I were chatting about WBTB's, and we came up with an idea. THE IDEA

To meet nightly during our WBTB's in order to discuss lucid dreaming and help motivate each other to become lucid. Anyone is invited to join in during the set time periods. More than one time period will be set up to compensate for different time zones. Essentially, similar time zones will be grouped together to best suit everyones' sleeping/WBTB requirements. The meeting time will be in relation to the UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) or more casually known as GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).

This will hopefully be an ongoing thing, depending on how many people participate. We think setting up permanent meeting times will help both new and experienced dreamers improve their lucidity count and help get to know each other.

The meetings will take place in Mortal Mist Chat. HOW TO FIGURE OUT YOUR WBTB TIME IN GMT

To figure out your time in GMT, first find out what your time zone is, and its designated integer. Then add or subtract the integer of your time zone to your current local time to get the GMT.

For example, my timezone is -8:00. That means, if I WBTB at 3:00am, it will be 11:00am GMT. I had to add 8 hours to my time to get it in GMT. People with positive time zones would subtract their integer. In order for wolvendeer to WBTB at the same time as me (11:00am GMT), he would have to do so at 6:00am, because his time zone is -5:00. He added 5 hours to his WBTB time.

Do this with your WBTB time, and sign up with the corresponding WBTB group below. CURRENT MEETING TIMES

SUGGESTIONS

We need to collect more info in order to decide on more meeting times or modify the existing ones. If you are willing to join in, please post your time zone and the times you are willing to join (preferably in GMT, but not absolutely necessary, we can handle the conversions).

Feel free to voice any suggestions or concerns you may have. NOTES

Attending nightly is not vital, but if only one other person is in your group, it may be necessary to make a special note of which nights you are available. We don't want people to come alone.

Also, try to be as punctual as possible. Again, it's not vital, but it just makes things easier for everyone.

Hello, fellow MM'ers. Welcome back to the WBTB Meeting thread. After a long period of dormancy, I've decided to resurrect the idea. We've got a few new members now, maybe this can be sustained better than it was before.

Post here if you're interested, along with your preferred times if you are planning to participate. Meeting times can be determined once there is enough information to determine the most convenient time frames. This is a pretty relaxed thing, I mean it's not mandatory once you sign up. It's mainly for those who happen to be WBTB'ing and want to discuss (dreaming) things with fellow dreamers!

I've always liked this idea, even though for me WBTB time has to be considerably short. I would try to participate of course.

Because my schedule isn't very regular, I don't think its fair to post a time for me until it is.

This is a cool idea. I try to lucid dream anywhere from 2-5 times per week. When I do, I always have an hour long WBTB.

Wih the early sunrise, I have backed up my wake time. Usually I do WBTB from 2:30 - 3:30 CST.

This translates to 8:30am - 9:30am GMT.

I could also do 8:30-9:00 UTC, even though 9:30-10:00 UTC would be a bit better for me, as it would be after I had at least 4.5 hours of sleep.  I'm not too picky, though.  Any WBTB schedule will be better than no WBTB schedule like I currently have.

After about 4.5 hours of sleep usually puts me around the 12:30pm UTC time. But as like AspiR, WBTB's are generally VERY short for me. I'm interested, but unsure at this time whether I could show up.

If you decide to try to show, PM me.  12:30 is around the time I'm getting up to go to work, so I would be able to sit in with you for a short while.

I can try to drop in Thursday night / Friday morning! Trial run, see how it goes for me. Would only be on about 5 minutes, but hey

Maybe those who want to can set aside a couple WBTB's each week for the meetings, and the rest can follow a regular routine?

I think multiple mettings would help to provide for everyone, yes.

Oh yeah, that's the whole plan. I just mean that say someone regularly holds five short WBTB's a week for themselves, they could take two of those and join up with others in Chat. A compromise to keep a personal routine and also meet once in a while.

I'll try my best to be on then.  Also, that or the day after will be my first day back for the WBTB, whenever I get an evening to myself. >.>

Missed last night... did an "early" WBTB about an hour after I'd been asleep because the BF couldn't sleep... my head was all screwy and decided I wouldn't do my normally scheduled one because of this
