Here you should propose Dreams to be Featured Dreams of the Month! The chosen dream will be the Featured Dream of July!
A few characteristics are required first though: Nothing too controversialNothing rated / censoredSomething dreamt in JuneFeel free to post if you don't agree with anything so far.
The ideal dream would include the completion of a monthly challenge, being successfully in a meeting place, or involving the completion of other lucid challenges. These last are not requisites, in fact, any cool dream would do! It doesn't have to be your dream. Put something that you think it's cool, and then I'll ask the dreamer for permission, if his dream is chosen.
I was thinking of July 31st for deadline (so you have plenty of time ). The dream will be selected either by the Thanks it gets, or by poll going from July 31st to August 10th
Note: The Featured Dream is always published the next month. Feel free to post something if you think that doesn't make sense.
Welcome to the second DreamSketcher contest, people from the land of dreams. The winner of the first contest, pancaka, won with this awesome sketch: (click to show/hide)Today the contest appears again and opens the submitting of dreams from the moment this thread is posted, until 7 days after. For anyone who doesn't knows, the DreamSketch is "the lone button in the row above the smileys" (As said by Pj).
Rules go as follows:
- Needs to be a sketch from one of your dreams in your DJ. (As opposed to drawing something from someone's else DJ)
- The selected dream should be one month old or less.
- You can submit up to 3 entries per person only. (As opposed to 5 entries like last time)
- Have fun.
- Nothing too controversial.
The rewards:
- The fun!
- Your dream will be featured in the gallery along with your Sketch.
- You will get a bit (or a lot) better at Sketching!
Said that, go, go and let the dreams flow into the sketcher, and have fun!
Bring it on!
I could only dream of painting something controversial....:dreaming:
Thanks for organizing, Walms! I'll get to painting.

Looks like you forgot something there, Jacob. Unless you were suggesting one of my recent dreams, which have nothing in 'em.

Sorry your recall has been so bad lately :(
Thank you Serenity.
That smiley really does seem to get sympathy.
You submit sketches right here in this thread.
There was supposed to be a permanent gallery of entries, but I see now that it wasn't so permanent. That needs to be corrected.
Here is the old entry thread: http://mortalmist.com/forum/the-wall-art-gallery/dreamsketcher-contest-may-1-20/msg53966/#msg53966
That one ran a bit differently from this one - you had to sketch somebody else's dream.

I think he said three.
There have been rumors that Walms is considering extending the contest a couple extra weeks, as there has been so little attention so far. Comments should be directed to him.
Wow!! Those are beauties!
Is there a prize for best stick people? Then, I may submit mine
Gah! I need to make a Dream Journal soon so I can participate!

Do it 'Lexis! XD
Yes, do it! The faster the better! Also, the rumors are true, as pj said, time will be extended from 1 week to 1 month (3 extra weeks) considering many were busy and unable to participate, so let the sketchs flow now! Or else... or else... a kitty will be sad ;.;
Ok - making sure this gets in the next newsletter then.
I lacked time so I decided to just get used to the dream sketch thingy, Hopefully, I'll be able to make a second entry that actually has time and effort put into it.

Quote from: pj on July 30, 2010, 08:02:36 AMLucid At Home
I am an adult, but at my childhood home. I have been off work for two days, and skipped school too. I decide to head out and catch my writing class, even though it might make me late for the ballgame.
As I am going out, I look back and see my mother reclined on the couch, watching TV. Something isn't right about this. . . isn't mom dead? I RC and sure enough, I'm dreaming.
I walk back into the living room and crouch down, looking mom right in the face. She smiles at me, and I at her. I ask her how she is doing, and she says fine. I ask if there wasn't anything she could have done to stay more active and able. She replies that she did all she wanted to and it was her own decision and her own business. She says this very pleasantly, telling me in her own way that I am not to feel guilty or bad about what ended up happening to her. I ask her to please get up off the couch. She says, "You're going to be late for school and the ball game. And don't forget your tickets - they are on my dresser."
I walk into her room, thinking that I should really try a goal or something, but I don't want to disrupt this dream. There is nothing on the dresser, so I pick up nothing, open up the envelope that isn't there and check out the two tickets that aren't there either. I put them in my pocket. As I walk out, I glance into my room, which looks like it has been ransacked - the furniture is all out of place and everything is thrown everywhere. I don't pause - just walk on by - but wonder if the aquarium has been dumped. As I walk out, I am tempted to walk through the walls or fly out, but I want to see mom one more time so I just play along. In the living room I turn and smile at her, and she looks very content and peaceful. She waves as I go out the garage door.
Lucid At Home is the Featured Dream of July.
Here you go, from Aug 04, 2010. Silly dream, I know.

I suggested she submit it. It's been in her DJ for a couple weeks now.
No problem. c:
Are we still needing lyrics and/or a melody?
Unfortunately, yes. I seem to have a knack of starting things when more important things IWL need my attention. -.-"
